Terms of Service
Last updated September 26, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Songs for the One LLC ("Songs for the One," "we," "us," or "our"). By using songsfortheone.com, talking with Muse, or buying anything from us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who can use the service
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create a song or make a purchase. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.
2. What we make
Songs for the One creates personalized songs and related media (such as cover art, lyric videos, music videos, and streaming releases) based on information you share. Songs are produced with the help of artificial intelligence and our creative team. Every song is an original creative work and an artistic interpretation of what you tell us. It is not a factual record, biography, or guarantee of any particular result.
3. Your content and your responsibility
"Your Content" means anything you give us: answers to Muse, names, stories, memories, voice recordings, photos, and notes. You are solely responsible for Your Content. By providing it, you represent and warrant that:
- you own it or have every permission needed to share it and let us use it as described in these Terms;
- you have obtained consent from every identifiable person whose name, image, likeness, voice, story, or personal details appear in it, including the recipient of the song, or you are legally allowed to share it without that consent;
- it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- it is not defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, threatening, or unlawful, and it does not include anyone's sensitive information shared without their permission.
We do not verify permissions. We rely entirely on your promises above. We are not responsible for any claim that arises because you shared a person's name, photo, likeness, voice, or story without permission.
You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, edit, adapt, and process Your Content to make, deliver, improve, and support your song and related products. We do not publish your photos or story publicly unless you ask us to (for example, by choosing a public YouTube or streaming release).
4. Ownership of the music
Songs for the One LLC owns all rights, title, and interest in every song and related media we create, including the music, melodies, recordings, lyrics as written by us, artwork, videos, and all copyrights and master rights in them. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any song to you.
When you pay for a song, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license, for as long as you keep to these Terms, to:
- listen to, download, and keep copies of the song;
- give it as a gift and share it privately, including through your gift page;
- play it at private and personal events, such as a wedding, party, or memorial;
- post it on your personal social media for non-commercial purposes, crediting Songs for the One where possible.
You may not, without our written permission: sell, license, or monetize the song; upload it to streaming services or content-ID systems; claim authorship or register it with a copyright office, publisher, or performing rights organization; use it in advertising or any commercial project; or use it to train AI models.
Streaming releases are published under the artist name "Songs for the One." We own and control the release and keep all royalties and streaming income, unless we agree otherwise in writing. We may also use songs we create (without your private details) to show our work, unless you ask us not to.
5. Previews, revisions, and approval
You can hear a free preview before you pay, so you can decide whether the song is right for you before buying. Once you unlock a song, you get 5 free re-records, and more are available for a small fee. You can re-record the whole song or redo individual sections.
Music is art, and taste is personal. Revisions are how we handle creative preferences such as style, voice, wording, mood, or pacing. By unlocking a song, you confirm that you've heard the preview and are satisfied enough to buy it.
6. Payments and refunds
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars at checkout and may change at any time. Payments are processed by our payment provider, and we do not store your full card details. Discount codes have no cash value, cannot be combined unless stated, and may be withdrawn at any time.
All sales are final. Because every song is custom, digital, and delivered immediately, and because you hear a preview first and get free revisions, we do not give refunds for creative or subjective reasons, such as not liking the style, voice, lyrics, or how the recipient reacted, or for changing your mind.
We will, at our sole discretion, fix the problem, redo the work, or give a full or partial refund if: you were charged twice; a technical fault on our side stops us from delivering your song; or we cannot deliver a paid add-on (such as a video or streaming release). To ask, email help@songsfortheone.com within 14 days of purchase.
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. If a payment is refunded or reversed, your license ends and access to the full song, downloads, and gift page may be turned off.
7. Add-ons and delivery times
Videos and streaming releases usually take 3 to 5 business days after we have everything we need from you, such as your photos. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Streaming platforms decide on their own whether to accept, publish, and keep releases, and when they go live. We are not responsible for their decisions, delays, or removals.
8. Content we may refuse
We may refuse, change, or stop any request, without liability, if we believe it is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit, hateful, infringes someone's rights, imitates a real artist, or goes against our values or the rules of our providers. Automated safety systems may also block certain lyrics or styles.
9. Artificial intelligence
Muse and parts of our production use artificial intelligence. AI output can be imperfect: it may mispronounce names, misunderstand details, or produce similar-sounding results for different people. Please review your lyrics and preview carefully. Songs are not intended to imitate any specific artist, and we do not promise that a song will be unique beyond being original to our service.
10. Private links and gift pages
Anyone with your private song link or gift link can open it. Keep your private link to yourself and share your gift link only with people you trust. You can turn off or replace your gift link at any time. We are not responsible for access by people you share links with.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE AND ALL SONGS AND MEDIA ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT A SONG WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS OR PRODUCE ANY EMOTIONAL REACTION.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, SONGS FOR THE ONE LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOST PROFITS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE ORDER THE CLAIM RELATES TO IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Songs for the One LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that arise from Your Content, your use of a song, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of anyone's rights, including rights of privacy, publicity, or likeness.
14. Copyright complaints
If you believe something on our service infringes your copyright, email help@songsfortheone.com. Include the work, where it appears, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act. We remove infringing content when appropriate.
15. Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and try to resolve it informally for 30 days. Any dispute that is not resolved will be settled by binding individual arbitration in Palm Beach County, Florida, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You waive any right to a jury trial and to take part in a class or representative action.
16. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The new version applies from the date it is posted here. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the service.
