Privacy Policy

• What you tell Muse: your answers, typed or spoken, including names, relationships, memories, stories, and music preferences. This may include details about other people, such as the person the song is for.
• Voice: when you talk with Muse, your browser turns your speech into text. We store the text, not an ongoing audio recording.
• Photos: photos you upload for cover art or videos.
• Contact and order details: your email address, what you bought, the amount, and any discount code. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, and we never see or store your full card number.
• Technical data: device and browser type, pages visited, basic usage events, and approximate location from your IP address, collected to run and improve the site. We also store a small key on your device so you can get back to your song.

Songs are often about someone else. By sharing another person's name, photo, story, or other details, you confirm that you have their permission or are otherwise allowed to share them. Please don't share sensitive information about anyone, such as health, financial, or government ID details. We use this information only to make your song. If someone asks us to remove information about them, we will do so where reasonable.

• to write, record, produce, and deliver your song and any extras;
• to process payments, send receipts, and send order and delivery emails;
• to provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the service secure;
• to improve Muse, our songs, and the service, using data with identifying details removed where possible;
• to comply with the law and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos or personal story in public marketing without your permission.

We share information only as needed to run the service, with:

• Service providers who host our site and data, process payments, send email, and provide AI writing, voice, image, and music generation, all under confidentiality obligations;
• People you share links with: anyone with your gift link can see the song, title, dedication, and lyrics on it;
• Streaming and video platforms, but only if you choose a streaming release or public YouTube upload;
• Authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect rights, safety, and property;
• A buyer or successor if our business is sold or merged.

We keep your song, story, and order records for as long as your song is available to you, and afterward as needed for legal, tax, accounting, and dispute purposes. Unpaid drafts and uploaded photos may be deleted after a period of inactivity. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see section 7).

We store audio, photos, and deliverables in private storage and use private, hard-to-guess links. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your private song link to yourself.

You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or ask us to stop using your song in examples of our work, by emailing help@songsfortheone.com. We may need to confirm that the song is yours. Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, Colorado, or the EU/UK), you may have more rights, and we will honor them as the law requires. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in them. Order emails are part of the service.

Deleting your data may remove access to your song. It won't undo copies you've already downloaded or shared, and it won't remove streaming releases already published, which the platforms control.

The service is for adults. Songs may be about children, but children may not use the service themselves. We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has used the service, contact us and we will delete the information.

We are based in the United States, and your information is processed there. By using the service you consent to this transfer.
